Hailed as "the dean of Latin jazz" and "one of the world's great virtuosic pianists" by the New York Times, multi-Grammy Award winner Chucho Valdes is one of Cuba's most famous pianists, bandleaders, composers and arrangers. Valdes has recorded more than 80 albums during his illustrious career, performing with countless jazz masters, including Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Wynton Marsalis and Chick Corea. Best known as one of the greatest living Cuban jazz pianists, Chucho's illustrious career has earned him appearances on the great stages in music, including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and The Hollywood Bowl. Chucho's new project with the Afro-Cuban Messengers marks his return to the US for the first time in seven years.
