Arts Infusion Grant
Arts Infusion is a matching grant developed by the Arts in Education Institute (AEI) with funds provided by the Stanley Center for the Arts.
These funds enable AEI to provide grants to encourage teachers, artists, and cultural organizations to initiate partnerships for projects that will ‘infuse’ the arts into the non-arts curriculum and to encourage teachers and students pre-K through 12 to explore and use the arts to invigorate learning. The grants also offer an opportunity for teacher training in order to develop skills for integrating the arts into classroom practice.
Funding is available for projects that partner teachers and teaching artists to design and implement arts-based learning activities for students with at least three activity sessions for a core group of students. Attendance at an arts venue is optional. Projects may include professional development for teachers aimed at developing teacher capacity for integrating the arts into classroom practice.
This is a matching grant. Up to half of the total project cost may be awarded by Arts Infusion. The school’s match may be split 50/50 between cash and in-kind contributions.
Applicants must submit an original application and 6 copies postmarked or hand delivered by Thursday, November 19, 2009 to the AEI office at 261 Genesee Street in Utica, New York by 3:30p.m.
Grant application seminars are scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 3p.m. or by appointment.
Grants recipients will be announced in January 2010. For more information about the AEI Arts Infusion grant, technical assistance, or application forms contact:
